being one future
of two pasts
it often seems to us to be but it is not
a mystery that every being has the gift
to create host and gift
a whole that is half of its entire
past which is not its own
remembrance
some halves live the gift
of detaching and dwelling
of resting and being carried
of letting to be found and welcoming
other halves live the gift
of detaching and leaving
of moving and being guided
of encountering and letting be welcomed
all halves share the gift
of creating in the encounter the permeability
of welcoming that always is a togetherness
of two generosities which welcome
and let themselves be welcomed
being a whole with the gift to be the half
without remembrance the halves live with no fear
the truth of being by vanishing in the whole
if it does not meet a second generosity
in the environment of welcoming
